Introduction:
The Tata Group is Indian Global Business, which we can very proudly say.But what is the history behind this success of Tata Group? How did their journey start? What about the Tata culture?Name, Power, Money Tata have all these things, but there is one thing that sets them apart from the other business men of the world.
Nusserwanji of Navsari:
Tata Group was started by Nusserban. He was born in 1822.
Seeing him, an astrologer said that Nusherban would one day rule the world. But those who lived in Navisari never left. But Nusherban was a different man. She was married at a very young age.And in 1839, at the age of 18, he became the father of a son named Jamshed.
Nusherban had no money to do business and he was not very educated. But he had a lot of faith in his mind to do something for himself. That's why he came to Bombay and started his own business with the help of a friend.
Nusherban loved his son very much, he did everything he could to make his education better. One of Nusherban's broths was in law. Whose name was Dada Bahai Tata.He had a son named Ratan Dada Bhai Tata. He was 18 years older than Jamshed ji.He was also a business man and had to travel to France many times for business. So it was very important for R.D. to know French. So Jamshed Ji contacted him with a teacher.
A Man Who Showed Dreams:
After going to England, Jamshed ji can learn a lot about business. In 1873 he opened his own mill in England. At that time Indian businesses wanted to open their own business in Bombay, Kolkata. But Jamshed Ji opened his own mill in Nagpur. Because he wanted to open his own cotton mill in front of the cotton farm.
But doing business in Nagpur was not so easy. People there were not so serious about work. They took vacations for many small reasons. Many business men would remove What from their work when workers saw such a meeting. But Jamshed ji came up with another way .. He was the first to think of giving pensions to the workers.Start giving them gifts to complete their work. Eight workers are happy to work and they take less time off. This shows how far Jamshed ji was thinking.
Baptism by Fire:
J.R.D. grew up in France. 1925 He started working in Tata Group. At that time the Bombay House was being rebuilt.
He was introduced to John Patterson by his father, R.D., and was the Managing Director of Tata Group.John Peterson soon became J.R.D.'s mentor. And his father sent him to Jamshedpur to learn to work there.
